I am so very pleased to be able to offer for sale this beautifully restored example of the stunning Jack Powle’s 35 Star class river cruiser. This boat has been owned by her current owner since 2007 and over that time has had no expense spared over the years to bring her back to, and maintain her in her classic cruiser glory and this shows wherever you look.
Her wood work is stunning inside and out and her primrose roof areas are west system coated to last!
Her restoration is fully documented to give the new owner full confidence and she has been regularly varnished and maintained since. She spends the summer on a broads mooring and the winters in a boat shed and has a full all over cover to help protect her fully over the winter. This boat is a testament to what can be done with a rare classic cruiser, balancing tradition and modern features that make cruising comfortable. She is spacious and well equipped with a modern heads compartment with full Jabsco electric toilet and a very modern and well sized shower room. A large well equipped galley is aft with a nice open cockpit aft. Hot water and heating are all fitted, as is a large battery charger and inverter system to provide mains power while out an about.
She has fully working sash drop sides to the centre cockpit and this has a cantilever folding roof with folding front screens to get under bridges.
She has the original fitted "bus" windows which wind down with a little handle. These are incredibly rare to find now in working condition. If I was to find fault then the two cockpit side doors are due are showing a couple of areas that would benefit from a re varnish however that was pretty much all I could find to fault with her.
This boat offers the true retro head turning style and presence of a by gone age that is hard to capture and appears to be in excellent working order throughout. Her Art Deco lights throughout the interior are a delight!
Her powerful Ford engine starts well and runs readily, and is being fully serviced this week. This engine has been professionally serviced on a regular basis and this shows.
She has a new Boat Safety Certificate to November 2026 and her broads is toll paid to April 2023. If you are looking to own a true broads classic that exudes the class of the period then look no further!
