The cockpit is large and fully covered, and can be fully enclosed thanks to the new cockpit enclosure. The cockpit has ample room for chairs and storage, and is warm and dry and comfortable, even on a stormy day. The cockpit also features a storage cabinet with a sink. The flybridge, lazarette, swim platform, and side decks can all be accessed from the cockpit.
A wide sliding companionway door provides access to the salon from the cockpit. An L-shaped settee is located to starboard with a moveable fold out saloon table. The settee could be used as a sleeping berth. A TV cabinet, bookshelves, and a free standing chair lie across from the settee.

The tender is launched and retrieved with a Roskelley/Olsson davit. Antennas and other sensors are mounted on a radar arch, rather than a mast, which keeps the deck open.

The CHB 41 Europa-style trawler would appeal to weekend and long-range cruisers, those seeking to live aboard, or any combination. She is clean and tidy and well-equipped. Some of the specific features of this trawler yacht that I like include:
-Covered walk around side decks that make tending lines and adjusting fenders straightforward.
-Europa style open interior layout with good all around visibility from the helm station.
-An interior rich in teak that appears in excellent condition.
-The large cockpit can be used as an extended living area as it is both covered and enclosed with a removable Isinglass / canvas enclosure.
-The large flybridge has a steering station, davit + tender storage, and a bimini / flybridge enclosure (currently removed for winter).
-450 gallons of fuel, which allow for cruising to Alaska from Puget Sound without the need to fuel.
-A master stateroom with queen sized berth and second stateroom with bunks (which could be used for sleeping accommodation or storage).
- Professionally maintained 200hp Diesel engine + 5 kw Westerbeke generator + Aquahot hydronic heater.
-A lazarette capable of storing a massive amount of gear or equipment -- including a chest freezer.
-Complete navigational electronics package with many redundant systems.
The former long-term owner of this vessel is said to be a professional mariner, and he appears to have applied his professional training and skills towards the upkeep of this CHB 41, as this yacht appears ship-shape!
If you are looking for a trawler in the 40 ft size range, that is ready for adventure or ready to move aboard, then you should take a close look at this CHB 41 Europa trawler.
