Broker's Comments
The Reflex 38 was conceived as a one-design offshore race boat and commissioned by Sir Robin Knox-Johnson for the race training and corporate hospitality arm of Clipper Ventures.
However... this is the only Reflex 38 to have been privately owned and sailed since new, never part of the original Knox-Johnson charter fleet. Built for the 1999 Southampton Boat Show, she was fitted out for short-handed cruising as well as remaining a competitive racing boat.
This boat has an enviable racing record winning Warsash Spring series and Class 2 in Cowes in its first year alone. She has many years of successful regatta and club racing and finishing 10th overall in the AZAB in 2019.
There are some notable differences, a watertight bulkhead forward, some powered winches and a galley and saloon which is more suited to spending time aboard rather than just getting your head down between watches - but the stylish lines, ease of handling and performance are pure Reflex and she's a joy to step aboard.
These boat details are subject to contract.
