Built in 1986 and designed to deal with the big seas around South Africa, this Lavranos 40 has been improved over the years and is well set up as a liveaboard or long distance cruiser. Including a water maker generating upto 120Ltrs/hr, 500w of solar power and she was re-engined in 2013 with a new Yanmar engine and saildrive.
She has been set up with all lines leading aft and can be sailed comfortably when short handed
